Nigerians are highly disappointed in Godwin Emefiele (Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria) after Federal High Court asked the establishment to freeze bank accounts of a few End SARS protesters. 


Yesterday, the Federal High Court of Nigeria gave an order to Godwin Emefiele to freeze the accounts of a few end SARS protesters, especially Twitter influencers. According to reports, it was done because the social media Influencers received funds with their bank accounts during the protest against police brutality in October. 

Here are the names of influencers, whose bank accounts will be frozen: Bolatito Rachael Oduala, Chima David Ibebunjoh, Mary Doose Kpengwa, Gatefield Nigeria Limited, Saadat Temitope Bibi, Bassey Victor Israel, Wisdom Busaosowo Obi, Nicholas Ikhalea Osazele, Ebere Idibie, Akintomide Lanre Yusuf, Uhuo Ezenwanyi Promise, Mosopefeoluwa Odeseye, Adegboke Pamilerin Emmanuel (Pamilerin Omo Iya Ologi), Umoh Grace Ekanem, Babatunde Victor Segun, Mulu Louis Teghenan, Mary Oshifowora, Winifred Akpevweoghene Jacob, Victor Solomon and Idunu A. Williams. Out of the list, 19 persons and one company bank accounts will be frozen. 


Nigerians have taken to their various Twitter pages to react to the announcements and order to freeze bank accounts of End SARS protesters. Most Nigerians are saying there might be another fresh protest from Monday if the court order isn’t amended.
