Nigerian Custom service intercepted a dangote truck carrying illegal rice.

Dangote truck carrying illegal foreign rice has been intercepted by custom service in Adamawa state. The comptroller of Nigeri custom says, he knows Dangote is reputable business entity which cannot be involved in such mess and he further requests Dangote reviews the people behind it.

All of the men caught, the driver was the only one who escaped. Comptroller Olumoh further disclosed other seizures made by the command, including rice, used clothing and petroleum products with a Duty Paid Value (DPV) of over N59 million.

Giving a breakdown of seizures during the preceding year, he said: “The command was able to make sixty-one seizures, which were mainly foreign rice, totalling 1,740 bags.
