Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Netflix insider says Percy Hynes White has been fired and won’t be returning for Wednesday Season 2 over rape and sexual assault accusations.
An anonymous insider at Netflix recently revealed that Hynes has been fired by the streaming giant and will not star in the second season of Wednesday. The source stated that Netflix became aware of the allegations and conducted an internal investigation, but ultimately what led to Hynes’ firing was his conduct with female cast mates.
However, one of the show’s stars, Canadian actor Percy Hynes White, has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. The 22-year-old actor, known for his roles in The Gifted and The Expanse, has been accused of sexual assault and abuse by multiple women. The alleged incidents took place when Hynes was between the ages of 17 and 20, and his accusers were between 13 and 16 years old.
These allegations include sexual assault, abuse, manipulation, and throwing parties where women were allegedly invited with the intention of getting them drunk and high enough to have sex with them.
On Tuesday, January 31, Pop Factions reported that multiple sources claimed, “Percy Hynes White will not be in the 2nd season of Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’.” The news came less than a month after the 21-year-old actor was hit with sexual assault allegations.
Twitter user @milkievich exposed Percy on Twitter on January 19 and accused him of pedophilia, racism and sexual abuse. The alleged victim posted a thread in which she claimed that Percy and his friends would often throw parties with the explicit goal of taking advantage of women. She claimed that they would “invite women they thought were hot so they could get them drunk and high enough to have sex with them.”
@milkievich went on claiming that Percy had “assaulted” her when she was “too drunk” at one of these parties. She also alleged that he had done this to other women in the past. She later encouraged other users to take these stories seriously, noting that he was a “serial” assaulter.
Another alleged victim, who goes by the username @desireeecameron, weighed in, “It hurts to see this man in the public eye and admired by hundreds of thousands of young girls.” The said person continued, “He let me get raped in his basement, and when he called me about it, he was most worried about the police and not if I was OK. Then he continued to let a rapist live at his mother’s.”
Shortly after Percy was exposed for the alleged sexual abuse, a short video of him being “touchy” with his “Wednesday” co-star Jenna Ortega while attending the Golden Globes afterparty emerged on Twitter. In the footage, Jenna could be seen disturbed when Percy placed his arm on her shoulder while the latter was talking to reporters and fans in front of them. At one point, Percy appeared to put his hand on her chest area.
After Jenna appeared to try to move Percy’s hands from her body, Percy tried to hug her, wrapping his arm around her shoulders, while she was giving a goofy pose for the camera. Jenna quickly moved away from him once the shot was taken.
Fans were convinced that Jenna was clearly uncomfortable when Percy got too handsy. “Rewatching this vid made me realize jenna clearly wasn’t having it when Percy hugged her,” one person wrote, adding hashtag #cancelpercy. Another tweeted, “1. He’s being way too touchy, 2. She’s clearly uncomfortable and then 3. She pushes his arm away from her sternum and he has the AUDACITY to continue touching her. Then she walks backwards so he can’t touch her.”
