The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has given an order to telecommunication operator, such as: MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat to block SIM cards not registered with the National Identity Card.
The information was revealed on Twitter by President Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad. According to the tweet, the order expires in two weeks time. Failure to register one’s SIM card with National ID, the SIM card will be blocked.
