Namibian Actress, Leonora Jacobs who starred in the 1989 movie, The Gods Must Be Crazy II wasn’t paid for her role. She was 5 years old when it was filmed in 1985.




 She is 42 years old now, and lives with her mum. She works as an Shop Assistant. The movie grossed $6.3 million.


Speaking in a short video clip that is circulating on social media, Leonora said that he never got paid for acting in the classic movie. Leonora, who is now 42 years old, revealed that they promised her that when she reaches 21 years they will pay her something for playing her role but up until now, she claims that she still hasn’t received a dime from the production company.

Despite becoming a global star because of his acting in The Gods Must Be Crazy, which amassed millions, N!xau was only given R243, which was the equivalent of US$300 then.


Speaking on the development Jamie Uys, the director of The Gods Must Be Crazy, said that N!xau did not know the importance of paper money, so he let go of it.


Her name is Leonora Airos Jacobs, after several years of casting in the movie as a child actor, she has now become a beautiful grown woman, chubby and round.


At first, I thought she was a boy in the movie. It was recently I actually discovered she has been a girl all along.


Her part in the movie is intriguing; from her ordeal on the moving vehicle, bewilderment while looking for her sister and her courage and, strength and bravery while trying her best to avoid a fierce lion. She eventually met and reunited with her father and her sister.
