Mr. Usman Adelabe; a professional footballer, was arrested two days before his wedding during an attack and illegal raid by DSS at Sunday Igboho’s house in Soka, Ibadan, on July 1, 2021.
Usman was one of the Yoruba or Oduduwa Nation Agitators who got arrested when Nigerian armed forces attacked Sunday Igboho’s residence.
Taking to Twitter, Yoruba Nation admin, shared photos of Usman who would have tied the knot today, unfortunately, he’s in DSS detention.
Oduduwa Nation admin wrote:
“So sad and disheartened! Today, July 3rd,2021 was slated for the wedding ceremony of Mr Adelabe Usman, one of our brothers who were viciously arrested at Chief Sunday Igboho’s house and kept in Nigerian DSS custody.
“Mr Usman Adelabe,a professional footballer,is one of the beneficiaries of our amiable Chief Sunday Adeyemo’s sponsorship. May God relieve the bride and the groom of the heartbreak.”
