Talented Motswana Vocalist Lioness Ratang has been signed by South African Record Label Makhadzi Entertainment.
In an exclusive interview with Century Buzz, the Rasesa native narrated that she started singing at the tender age of 11 years old. She revealed that she mostly sang at church and school where multitudes were engrossed by her vocal abilities.
Locally, Lioness has worked with DJ Shawn Lee and Team Distant who supported her musical career. In May this year, she decided to relocate to South Africa to pursue her musical ambitions.
The 21-year-old was however faced with challenges as she was kicked out by her housemate in South Africa. Just when she was about to be homeless, her Musician friend named El Virgo connected her with Makhadzi who gave her a warm welcome.
“First thing when I got in the room Makhadzi welcomed me and even offered me a drink. She then told me to record, as shy as I was on the first day, she believed so much in me and even followed me immediately on Instagram. I then started writing music after a long time of struggling to write music,” said Lioness.
Lioness Ratang has previously done soundtracks for SA Soapie Diepcity. She concluded by conveying utmost gratitude to Makhadzi and further said she cannot wait for the World to hear what she has to offer.
