Tom Hanks’ niece, Carly Reeves, cried after being exposed and eliminated on Claim To Fame show…

Tom Hanks’ niece went on reality show “Claim to Fame” and had an epic meltdown when she was the first contestant to go home. @CarlyDReeves joined us on TMZ Live to talk about what Tom thinks of her viral moment & more.

She also said that she hoped she hadn’t “embarrassed him” with her appearance when asked if he would be tuning into the episode. “I hope so,” she told EW. “I mean, maybe I don’t want him to watch it because I don’t want to embarrass him for any reason. I hope I don’t embarrass him, but I don’t think I do. “His freakin’ clues are so freakin’ obvious!” she screams as the camera follows her leaving the set and preparing to go home. “There’s literally no reference to benches on any other movie! Even (fellow contestant) Gabriel found that out. He’s not even, like, smart!”

“I didn’t even get to do any challenges!” she continues. “I don’t deserve this! I should have more camera time! I should be here longer!”

But in a calmer follow-up interview with USA Today, Reeves was asked if she regretted her outburst. Her reply: “No.”

“Honestly, I’m an emotional person, so I’m obviously going to react in a big way because that’s just how I am,” she told the newspaper. “And because this was so special to me, and it was so exciting for me, I was upset. Could I have handled myself better and been a little bit more graceful with it? Yes. But as far as being upset and sad, that was all real. So, I can’t regret it.”

“So, I would love for him to watch it, because I think it’s hilarious… He’s happy for me no matter what. He did ask me, “Did you make some money?” And I was like, “Yeah, I made a little bit.” And he said, “Ok, good.” So, he was happy that I made a little money.”

Opening up about her relationship with Tom, Carly explained that she saw more of the actor when she was younger and that they would often go on family holidays together.

Reeves was the first contestant to be booted off the ABC show during its second season premiere on Monday, after a fellow contestant correctly guessed the identity of her celebrity relative. Reeves, 39, is the daughter of the sister of Rita Wilson, who has been married to Hanks since 1988.

The show puts a group of celebrity-adjacent people in a house filled with clues about their famous relatives, with the person who can remain anonymous the longest taking home $100,000 at the end of the season. Reeves’ housemates were tipped off by a park bench and a ping pong paddle, references to Hanks’ role in 1994’s Forrest Gump.

Her reaction to the loss was, to put it mildly, not mild at all.
