Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Matthew Perry wants to be remembered if Friends were listed behind the things he did try to help other people.

“When I die, I know people will talk about Friends. I’m glad of that, happy I’ve done some solid work as an actor. But when I die…it would be nice if Friends were listed far behind the things I did to try to help other people.”

The Friends actor shared a nighttime photo of himself inside a hot tub on Monday, Oct. 23, writing in the caption: “Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.”

“Mattman” is a name he’d used in recent days while posting on social media, often including references and imagery related to Batman.

But it wasn’t all Mattman: on Oct. 15, Perry had shared a rare photo of himself with his father, actor John Bennett Perry. “Here is me, and my father John, both holding a beverage,” he wrote in the caption, garnering hundreds of thousands of likes from followers.

Entertainment industry sources report that Los Angeles law enforcement has reported that Matthew Perry was found dead Saturday in a hot tub at his L.A. home. The actor famous for playing Chandler Bing on the hit NBC sitcom ‘Friends’ from 1994-2004 was 54.

Neither drugs nor foul play are suspected, TMZ is reporting, also noting first-responders were called “on a call for cardiac arrest.”

Friends became what the Los Angeles Times called, “A juggernaut, the anchor of the network’s vaunted Thursday-night “Must-See TV” lineup, and turned Perry and his cast mates, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblanc and Matthew Schwimmer into mega-stars almost overnight.”

Perry also appeared in films like ‘Fools Rush In’ (1997) and ‘The Whole Nine Yards’ (2000) opposite Bruce Willis and Rosanna Arquette. ‘He’d been to rehab 17 times and nearly died from opioid abuse but he was someone who was sincere about taking his life, and his sobriety, one day at a time.

‘It’s such tragic news. Everyone is praying he didn’t relapse. Matt was a genuinely lovely guy. He was always the first to welcome newcomers to the group and would always volunteer to help and be of service.

‘We are all struggling to come to terms with this terrible news.’

The Friends star laid bare the height of his terrible drug and alcohol addiction battle which nearly cost him his life in a memoir titled ‘Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir’. Sources claim he was found in a jacuzzi at the home but no drugs were found at the scene and there was no indication of foul play.

Perry rose to fame for his role as Chandler Bing on the hit 90s sitcom Friends, which ran for 10 seasons. Friends star Matthew Perry’s cause of death has been revealed, after his worldwide fanbase was left in shock by news of his passing.

The beloved sitcom star died at the age of just 54 ‘after drowning in his jacuzzi at home,’ sources have told DailyMail.com.

A source told the outlet that there was so sign of foul play, and that robbery-homicide detectives are investigating his death.

In his last post to his Instagram, shared earlier this week, the star shared images of him in his pool, saying: ‘Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.’

Perry has been candid publicly about his problems with drugs and alcohol, having first went to rehab in 1997 for what was said to a pain medication addiction after a jet skiing accident.

Following this initial stint, he then went to rehab again in 2001 and 2011. He told an interviewer in 2016 that he doesn’t remember filming three seasons of Friends.

A longtime friend of Perry’s – who was in recovery with him – told DailyMail.com: ‘Everyone is in a total state of shock. People are crying on the phone and struggling to accept this news.
