Majorie Taylor Greene has been EXPELLED from the Freedom Caucus

A secret vote was taken to expel Greene from the far-right conservative coalition, the House Freedom Caucus, as it was determined that her support of Speaker Kevin McCarthy and her vote on the debt ceiling meant she had lost her conservative bona fides.

Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) broke the news with Politico reporter Olivia Beavers, and said the vote to remove the woman who has fueled far-right conspiracy theories about Jewish space lasers and 9/11 was “an appropriate action.”

Greene has been feuding more with her fellow right-wing Republicans lately over her backing of McCarthy, who has returned the favor by restoring Greene to the committee assignments she lost when the previous Democratic-led Congress voted to remove her from all House committees.

Greene’s alliance with McCarthy has not moderated her ideologically, however, as she remains one of the leading proponents of impeaching President Joe Biden.
