Margaret Dale Hawke has admitted to killing her three children in a fire at her family’s home in Port Hedland, Western Australia.
The bodies of Hawke’s 10-year-old daughter and two sons, aged five months and seven years, were discovered in the Anderson Street property after the fire in July.
Hawke pleaded guilty to the murders when she appeared via video link in the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court in Perth from Bandyup Prison, where she has been detained since her arrest.
The sentencing hearing will take place in the Supreme Court in April, and Hawke will remain in custody until that time. Hawke was hospitalized after the fire before being charged with the murders.
