Sir Alex Ferguson has been persuading the Glazers to sell 100% to Sheikh Jassim. Sources confirmed that he believes Sheikh Jassim can restore Manchester United to its former glory.
The glazers were not ready to negotiate with Jassim until after having some words with sir Alex.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is expected to lean on Sir Alex Ferguson for advice and guidance over some matters.
That could include helping to choose a new director of football with John Murtough’s position believed to be vulnerable.
