A businessman identified as Simon Oko is currently chilling in police custody after he publicly assaulted his wife over a misunderstanding in Meiran, Lagos.
It was gathered that the suspect, who is notorious for beating his wife, Glory aka Mummy destiny, attacked her at her hair salon on Friday, August 5, and got accosted by eyewitnesses.
“Simon’s wife is a hairdresser and has been enduring domestic violence for years. He always get away with his act as their relatives intervene and won’t sanction him for his actions.
On Friday morning, he approached his wife who was at work and started punching her till she bled. Residents who heard her scream for help quickly rescued her from him.
We learnt that he doesn’t take care of his kids as they had three kids but two died. However, Glory agreed that her abuser be arrested as she has endured more than enough in her marriage. We hope the appropriate authorities will look into this matter as this isn’t the first time Simon will be arrested for domestic violence and be set free,” a source familiar with the incident said.
