A staff of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, in the department of Works and Fire Services unit, Dauda Ibrahim, has been apprehended for kidnapping and killing his fifteen-year-old daughter, Sherifah for ritual purpose in Kogi State.
According to reports, the suspect is alleged to have perpetrated the nefarious act, alongside two other people, Adams Isah Atumeyi and Adah Yusufu King.
A source told Daily Post that the deceased, the victim, Sherifah was kidnapped on August 4, 2022, at their residence in Okenya, along Itayi street, in the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area of the State.
The source added that the girl’s remains were discovered in a shallow grave a few days after her disappearance, with the body m¥tilated, while some vital organs were missing.
SP Williams Ayah, the State command’s Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the incident, explained that the suspect and his accomplices were presently under police custody.
Meanwhile, Opaluwa Ugbede Omera in a Facebook post revealed that the suspect instigated a crisis in the house and used the opportunity to chase his wife away so he could have access to commit this heinous crime.
“The night the little girl was taken away, the father, Mr Dauda, was wide awake watching his friends/colleagues Mr Isah Adams and Adah take his child away. The little girl was crying telling her father “Daddy I don’t want to go with these people” but the father said “go with them, I will join you later.
No one would have known the disappearance of this girl if not for her little sister of about 6years who was awake and watched everything that happened. She testified this before everyone that asked her and said Uncle Isah who uses black jeep (Highlander) and Adah, came and took her away. She added that her father was there when they took her sister away,” Opaluwa’s post read.
