Man, Charles Kabamba, kills wife, Florence Ngoyi, over child paternity song

A MAN of Chingola on the Copperbelt has been arrested after he allegedly killed his wife for playing a song suggesting that only a woman knows the ‘real’ father of her children. 

Charles Kabamba,60, of house number 10, Tatungafika Road, murdered his wife, Florence Ngoyi,42, on Saturday around 02:30 hours. 

Copperbelt police commanding officer Sharon Zulu said it is reported that Kabamba later woke up his stepson, Titus Chota, and asked him to check on his mother, Ngoyi, as she seemed unwell. 

Ms Zulu said Kabamba allegedly informed his stepson that he had a quarrel with his mother over a song that she was playing on her mobile phone.

She said the song suggested that only a mother knows the fathers of her children and that men only come in when giving names….
