Uruguayan footballer, Luis Suarez has finally agreed to join Atletico Madrid as he is set to part ways with Spanish club, Barcelona.
The information was announced by a popular Sports Journalist, Fabrizio Romano on Twitter this afternoon. According to him, he revealed that Suarez has agreed to join Atletico Madrid as a free agent.
“Luis Suarez has already accepted by days to join Atletico Madrid!
He’s now parting ways with Barca to move on as a free agent.
This deal will be key for Alvaro Morata > Juventus (Dzeko/Juve deal agreed but stalling because of Milil problems),” Fabrizio tweeted.
Fabrizio tweeted again: “Luis Suarez to Atletico Madrid, here we go!
Last details to be completed on next few hours – deal done.
He has agreed to personal terms and also spoke directly with Simeone. As reported on Friday, Atleti were waiting to sell players (Morata > Juventus so close to sign Luis.”

€9m loan + €45m buy option until June 2021.
There’s also an option to extend the loan until June 2022.
Personal terms agreed until 2025.
Atléti have accepted the bid and will announce Suarez soon.
