Lil Jon threatens to sue Live Nation over “Lovers & Friends” festival.

This allegedly isn’t the first time Lil Jon has attempted to converse with Live Nation representatives. His attorney, Doug Davis, is said to have talked with the company back in May 2022. Additionally, it was “assumed” that Live Nation would do right by Lil Jon. Things didn’t escalate because he was headlining the festival with several famous friends.

However, this time around, there were many artists asked to once again join the line-up—but Lil Jon was left out. Another of the artist’s attorneys compared the situation to having a “Don’t Stop Believin’” festival without Journey.

Jon says his lawyers began talks with Live Nation in May 2022 about paying a license fee for the name. He says he “trusted Live Nation to do the right thing” and decided to defer the issue in order to make last year’s inaugural festival—which Jon headlined alongside Usher and Ludacris—a success.

“Lil Jon has lost that trust, and has decided that the issue has been deferred long enough, and that either a resolution or litigation must occur immediately,” reads the letter.

He’s known for his vivacious personality, noticeable adlibs, and fire productions, but a recent report states Jon isn’t happy with the Lovers & Friends Festival promoters. The concert returns in May, and Lil Jon Is upset that the title of his hit track is being used as the festival’s name.

One person not on the roster this year however is Lil Jon—and for good reason.

According to TMZ, everyone in the world is excited about the festival except the “Crunk Juice” creator. He feels the festival stole his song title for the name and has been trying to contact Live Nation to sort things out.
