Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Quintuple murderer, Rushane Barnett, has denied being beaten by police which has made his lawyer angry. (Read More Here).
Rushane Barnett, the man accused of killing five members of a family in Cocoa Piece, Clarendon, is now under investigation for alleged sexual assault of a minor.
His attorney says the documents were served on Mr. Barnett on Thursday. The lawyer representing Rushane Barnett, the man accused of murdering a mother and her four children in Clarendon, is angry about a video-recorded medical examination in which her client contradicted claims his claims that he had been assaulted by cops.
During an interrogative session with Barnett, Dr Andrei Cooke, former chairman of the South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) and two justices asked a few questions.
Dr. Cooke made such Barnett responded to reports of him being assaulted by either inmates or the police, and Barnett confirmed that he hasn’t been beaten by any of the aforementioned.
“Have you been hit by any police officer since you’ve been in this lock-up,” asked Cooke.
“No, me never been hit by any of them still…no, no, no hitting,” Barnett said.
INDECOM has reacted to the leaked video: INDECOM was not present at the time of, or during, any visit to Rushane Barnett, by a Medical Doctor or Justice of the Peace. The person(s) who have intentionally or unintentionally misaligned INDECOM as being present and or producing the video are asked to cease and desist.”
