Lawmaker protests barefoot as he demands President Buhari’s intervention for the release of abducted Abuja-Kaduna train victims.
Hon. Bamidele Salam, a member of the House of Representatives, walked barefooted from the Unity Fountain to the National Assembly complex in Abuja on Wednesday, June 1st in solidarity with Kaduna train victims and other citizens held captive by terrorists.
The lawmaker who was dressed in black, carried a placard with the inscription ”Please President Muhammadu Buhari Please do more to secure freedom for the Kaduna-Abuja train abductees and other citizens in captivity”.
On March 28, terrorists attacked the train, kidnapping over 60 passengers. The victims have been in captivity for 63 days and counting. In a recent video, the terrorists say the only demand they want met is the release of their children which they alleged the Federal government ”abducted” in Nasarawa state.
