Known as ‘Jhon John’, militiaman Jhony Alexandre de Souza Silva was arrested this Saturday while preparing a family party to celebrate Christmas.
According to the Civil Police, he was the “right hand man” of militiaman Rodrigo dos Santos, known as ‘Latrell’, arrested in March of this year in São Paulo.
The arrest was carried out by police officers from the Police Station for Repression of Organized Criminal Actions and Special Inquiries, the Coordination of Special Operations and Resources and the intelligence sector of the police institution.
The operation involved two helicopters.
Considered a fugitive, ‘Jhon Jhon’ has three outstanding arrest warrants, for homicide and criminal association.
The militia operates in Campo Grande, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro.
