KING MISUZULU’S ‘EX- GIRLFRIEND’ SAYS SHE FEARS FOR HER LIFE

Sihle Sibisi, who is an anti-gender-based violence activist, claims she has been receiving death threats following her relationship with AmaZulu King MisuZulu ka Zwelithini.

According to City Press, the Kwanele Foundation founder and the king met at the annual reed dance at Enyokeni Royal Palace in Nongoma, KwaZulu-Natal, and later fell in love.

Recalling her first encounter with King MisuZulu, Sibisi said his aunted had informed her after dance that the king wanted to see her privately.

“They took me in to see the king. It was in a boardroom with glass. I walked in and took off my shoes, but I was limping because I was wearing a brace. I greeted him and he said: ‘What a beautiful babe, come here and hug me.’ He started squeezing my buttocks,” she said.

“We took a picture and then the aunt [said]: ‘Involve me in the picture because you can’t take a picture alone with him … people might start talking and the wife might get pissed off’,’” she added.

The king is married to Queen Ntokozo Mayisela-Zulu.

She alleged that their next encounter was at a business breakfast in Richards Bay the same month.

“Before I left, he asked to see me in private with 3 Seconds [the king’s traditional healer]. He said he needed me in his life because he needed a strong woman like me … When I had to leave, he begged me not to go … and the next thing he invited me to his room. When I got there, he was with his son,” she explained.

Sibisi claimed that the first time she and the king became intimate was after he took her to a fertility clinic. The king has allegedly been in constant communication with her since.

“He was begging me not to take the morning-after pill [a type of emergency birth control]. He phoned me crying and was like: ‘I can’t live without you; you have to come to Ulundi.’

“I said why must I come to Ulundi and he said, ‘I need to spend time with you.’”

The publication reports that in one of the audio clips, King MisuZulu is heard professing his love for Sibisi.

“I love you and I love my nation…” he says.
