Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela kicked the media out of the the Senzo Meyiwa trial after a news channel aired video footage showing state witness Tumelo Madlala’s face.
Judge Maumela had ordered earlier in the trial that Madlala’s identity be kept confidential.

Senzo Meyiwa’s long-term friend Tumelo Madlala said during a cross-examination that one of the five men standing trial was not present on the night the goalkeeper was killed.
