Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Judge in RICO CASE allowed 17 different lyrics to be used against Young Thug.

The judge overseeing Young Thug’s historic gang and organized-crime related trial in Atlanta ruled Thursday morning some of the rapper’s lyrics will be admissible in court.

Fulton County Chief Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville held a hearing that began Wednesday and lasted throughout the evening on whether the lyrics could be used as evidence.

Glanville ruled some of Young Thug’s lyrics can be used as evidence, but the judge said the lyrics are “conditionally” admitted. Defense attorneys have been arguing the rapper’s lyrics have nothing to do with his alleged crimes and that using of the lyrics could sway the jury.

As part of their argument, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Wilis and her office argued that the rap lyrics in the tracks released by the artists on the label are evidence of crimes committed by the gang, saying that the lyrics are “highly pertinent” to the defendants’ state of mind and intents.

“‘I just beat a murder rap,’” said Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Simone Hylton as she read the lyrics in court. “‘I paid my lawyer, 30 for that.’ There’s a few other lyrics in between that and then ‘me and my slimes are above the law.’”
