Taron Egerton and Ariana Grande are being considered for the roles of Hercules and Megara in the live-action of ‘Hercules’, according to insider Daniel RPK.
Known for his role as Eggsy in the Kingsman franchise, for which he is due to return for a third outing, Egerton has consistently impressed in the likes of Eddie the Eagle and Rocketman, with many believing him to be the perfect choice for Hercules in Guy Ritchie’s remake.
Aside from Taron Egerton, Man of Steel star Henry Cavill is another name that has come up a lot, with many feeling that the Superman actor is the only correct casting choice for the role of Hercules. Notably, Cavill has worked with director Guy Ritchie before on the 2015 spy flick The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
According to insider DanielRPK’s Patreon, Disney already has its possible stars for the Hercules live-action and is in talks with each of the celebrities to close the deal. Danny DeVito would play Phil, Hercules’ loyal trainer; the actor has an extensive career in the world of cinema; besides, he was in charge of dubbing the same character in the 1997 animated version.
Ariana Grande could play Megara, the love interest of the Greek god; the singer would leave music to, once again, make her way in the world of acting, playing one of the most beloved characters in the history of Hercules and also of all Disney, thanks to her intelligence and strength.

Taron Egerton would be in charge of playing the mighty Hercules, the son of Zeus; the actor has stood out in the cinema for playing Elton John in his biographical film Rocketman and Henk Rogers in Tetris, among other films.
