Jonathan Blow, an accountant, has been accused of stealing around R52 million from two Spar outlets where he worked, namely Sunridge Spar and Despatch Spar

Jonathan Blow, an accountant, has been accused of stealing around R52 million from two Spar outlets where he worked, namely Sunridge Spar and Despatch Spar. 

The alleged thefts occurred between July and September last year. Blow is accused of stealing R40.59 million from Sunridge Spar and transferring the funds to the PEAS(his company) bank account. 

Additionally, when Despatch Spar terminated Blow’s employment and hired a new accountant in September 2022, it was discovered that R11.48 million had been transferred from Spar’s bank account to PEAS.
