A Johannesburg police officer has died after shooting himself in the parking lot of the Soshanguve police station on Sunday.

The police sergeant allegedly had a heated argument with his girlfriend.

Following the spat, she went to the 

Soshanguve Police Station to report the matter, police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Sello said.

“The victim followed the girlfriend to the police station and reportedly shot himself at the parking lot.”
