Jeremy Renner is in “critical but stable condition” after being airlifted to a hospital following a snow plowing accident.

Renner and his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco are parents to daughter Ava Berlin, 9.

In March 2022, Renner shared a heartfelt tribute to his daughter for her ninth birthday. The actor posted a throwback photo on Instagram of himself holding Ava as a newborn, sweetly calling her his number one.

“As you took your FIRST breath, gripping my finger tightly (palmers reflex), I instantly understood my directive in life as a father. That If I do right by you, we will be holding hands as I take my LAST breath 🙏❤️🙏,” Renner captioned the post. “Happy Birthday to my number one #proudpapa.”

Jeremy Renner, star of Hawkeye and Mayor of Kingstown, was reportedly hospitalized in Reno, Nevada, on January 1st after suffering an accident plowing snow, according to a new report from Deadline. A statement from the actor’s representatives indicates Renner is in “critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today.” There is no word on the actor’s current health condition, other than that his reps say “his family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.” We’ll be sure to update this story as we receive more information.

Renner is widely known for his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in multiple films and starring in his own solo series on Disney+ that was released in November 2021. His next major role is a sequel season for Mayor of Kingstown, which will begin streaming on Paramount Plus in two weeks on January 15th. The series was created by Yellowstone showrunner Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon.

The 51-year-old actor, a two-time Academy Award nominee, was airlifted to the hospital on Sunday, his spokesperson told Deadline noting how he suffered a ‘weather related accident while plowing snow.’ 

Renner, who is a lover of big machines often posts pictures and videos of himself enjoying his home in Lake Tahoe where he can be seen plowing his driveway. 

According to the actor’s spokesperson, The Mayor of Kingstown star was ‘receiving excellent care’ and his family his with him.

The actor, who plays Hawkeye and can be seen in The Avengers and Captain America films, has owned a home in above Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe in Washoe County for several years. In a video posted to his Instagram account last December the actor could be seen enjoying driving his industrial-sized snow thrower. ‘I have so much respect for Mother Earth , and Mother Nature … I expect to lose the fight but I’ll always give it my best shot,’ he wrote. The area was massively impacted by a Saturday night storm that left 35,000 households without power, in the Northern Nevada counties Washoe, Carson, Douglas, Storey and Lyon the Reno Gazette-Journal reported. In the past Renner has also openly told of how he often spends time working with local fire departments, helping their teams. ‘I work with the fire departments up there and they are pretty awesome. They are teaching me and helping me, and I still have to get some more hours in with them.’
