Local media says Abdesalem Lassoued 45-year-old Tunisian Islamic terrorist bragged on Facebook about killing ‘three infidels’ in Brussels, Belgium.
Disturbing video taken by passers-by purportedly shows the attacker on a motorbike stalking people and shooting them in public, with other images circulating online showing the body of one person inside a taxi.
Dramatic video later appeared to show the gunman, who was dressed in a fluorescent orange jacket, fleeing on a motorbike while being tailed by a member of the public.
Following the incident the alleged attacker used the name ‘Slayem Slouma’ to boast about the two murders on Facebook, adding he sought to avenge the killing of a six-year-old US-Palestinian boy.
Speaking in Arabic, the man – named by local media as Abdesalem Lassoued, a 45-year-old of Tunisian origin – celebrated the slaughter, and said he committed them in the name of ISIS.
The shooter remains at large. Police confirmed that the man in the video – wearing an orange jacket, black scarf, yellow baseball hat and heavy black beard – was the one they were searching for in relation to the attack.

The victims are reported to be Swedish tourists who were in town for a Euro 2024 football match.
Allegedly, the assailant exclaimed the Arabic phrase “Allah hu Akbar,” which is sometimes translated as “God is great,” but in this context conveys the meaning of “Allah is greater [than your God].” As of now, the suspect remains at large.
Earlier in the day, Slayem Slouma had written a message about the Muslim child stabbed in Chicago this Sunday, explaining that if he had been a Christian, “we would have called it terrorism and not a brutal crime.”
Video footage posted on the Het Laaste Niews newspaper website showed a man in an orange jacket on a scooter at a street intersection with a rifle first firing two shots, then three more, then running into a building, firing two more shots, leaving, taking a few steps back again and shooting one more time.
One Belgium newspaper said a witness said the shooter shouted “Allahu Akbar” before the shots were fired.
A police spokesperson confirmed that two people had been killed in a shooting incident near the centre of the Belgian capital but declined to give further details.
A spokesperson for Brussels prosecutors, who are handling the case, also declined to give any details concerning the victims or any possible motive.
This was reported by Belgian media. 45-year-old Abdesalem Lassoued (that is the name of the criminal) was sitting in a cafe in Schaerbeek when the police came there – the man began to resist and opened fire, a shootout ensued, during which he was neutralized. The weapon used in the shooting was found on him.
The police could not find the terrorist throughout the night, although videos appeared online where local residents saw him moving around the city.
