Iroko Tv boss, Jason Njoku, has finally apologised to IPOB-Biafra people over his immature, glib and unnecessary statements he made about IPOB after his application was saved from being deleted from Google PlayStore. (Read More Here).
After Adamu Garba’s Crowwe App got deleted from Google PlayStore over perceived imitation and privacy issues, Fulanis got angry and said they would report all applications on Google PlayStore belonging to Igbo people.
Yes, they started reporting, but Igbos rushed to Google PlayStore as they began to give 5 star ratings and drop good reviews for Iroko Tv, Biafra radio and other applications belonging to the Igbos.
After his application got saved, Jason Njoku, took to his Twitter page to tender an apology to his fellow Igbos after they saved his application.
He wrote:
“The last few days has renewed my faith in Nigeria. I know the support wasn’t just about @irokotv but more broadly about self determination, press freedoms & a collective yearning for Nigeria to be a great secure and happy nation. North/South I truly believe we all want that #KeepitOn.
“Separately I want to take the opportunity to apologize to Ndi Igbo for my glib, immature and unnecessarily hurtful comments a few years back. I am Igbo, I don’t think I would ever nor ever attempted to deny that (all my kids bear solidly Igbo names which I personally chose).
“Nonetheless, I 100% let you all down and hope with time I can make amends and be forgiven. It was stupid and I am truly sorry. Whatever I write (and tweet) reflects on our entire culture and I dropped the ball on this one. Sorry. Thanking everyone everywhere for the last few days. I won’t forget it.”
