Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Ricky Martin’s lawyer denies claims from his nephew:

“Unfortunately, the person who made this claim is struggling with deep mental health challenges. Ricky has, of course, never been — and would never be– involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew.”

A new report Friday from Spanish news website Marca identifies Ricky’s accuser as his 21-year-old nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, which would introduce incest into the case in Puerto Rico.

Nevertheless, Marca is reporting that Martin faces up to 50 years behind bars if convicted.

As we reported … Ricky was accused of domestic violence earlier this month, and the alleged victim, whose identity was previously unknown, got a temporary restraining order against Ricky, who has denied the allegations.

Now, Marca is reporting the nephew allegedly ended a 7-month relationship with Ricky … Ricky allegedly did not take it well, continuing to contact his nephew and showing up at his nephew’s home.

“Up until now, police haven’t been able to find him,” Valencia said.

Martin’s publicist did not immediately return a message asking for comment.

It was not immediately known who requested the restraining order. Valencia said he could not provide further details because the order was filed under Puerto Rico’s domestic violence law.

El Vocero, a Puerto Rico newspaper, said the order states that Martin and the other party dated for seven months. The report quotes the order as sying they broke up two months ago, but the petitioner says Martin did not accept the separation and has been seen loitering near the petitioner’s house at least three times.

“The petitioner fears for his safety,” El Vocero quoted the order as saying.

AP has not obtained a copy of the order.

Valencia said that the order prohibits Martin from contacting or calling the person who filed it and that a judge will later determine at a hearing whether the order should remain in place or be lifted. He added that usually orders are implemented for at least a month.

Valencia noted that the person who filed for the restraining order did not contact police, which would have involved prosecutors determining if there was enough evidence to file charges. Rather the request went straight to the court.

Sanchez added that there was physical and psychological abuse that occurred during the relationship. The legal battle is set to begin on July 21.

Under Puerto Rican law, allegations of incest are taken very seriously. If proven guilty, the artist could be sentenced to up to 50 years in prison.

“The allegations against Ricky Martin that lead to a protection order are completely false and fabricated,” representatives for Martin told PEOPLE earlier this month. “We are very confident that when the true facts come out in this matter our client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated.”

On July 4, the “Livin’ La Vida Loca” vocalist vehemently denied the allegations on Twitter with optimism that this would all be resolved.

“The protection order entered against me is based on completely false allegations, so I will respond through the judicial process with the facts and the dignity that characterize me,” Martin wrote. “Because it is an ongoing legal matter, I cannot make detailed statements at this time. I am grateful for the countless messages of solidarity, and I receive them with all my heart.”

Martin has not made any further statements.

Ricky Martin had a seven-month relationship with his 21-year-old nephew, who is now accusing him of domestic violence and filed a restraining order.
