Human Activist, Senator Shehu Sani has boldly listed the two factors responsible for the cruelty of rape, especially in Nigeria.
According to him, he tweeted that the two factors responsible for the cruelty of rape in Nigeria are: the rapist and the society that stigmatizes the victims of rape.
Senator Shehu Sani is absolutely right. Alot of victims of rape hardly speak because of the stigmatisation they will face, thus, this makes them remain and die in silence.
Rapist is another factor responsible for the cruelty of rape because the action of the rapist is capable of affecting the victim for a very long time. Rapists are also ‘Destroyers of life”.
Senator Shehu wrote: “There are two people guilty of the cruelty of rape; the rapist and the society that stigmatizes the victims of rape”.
