A man accused of pretending to be a police officer to sneak into Friday’s Final Four Fan Fest concert, where Megan Thee Stallion headlined, faced a judge on Monday.

Trayvone Lil Darus Stevenson, 28, was held in the Harris County Jail over the weekend after being charged with impersonating a public servant. (Read More Here).

Court documents read that Stevenson allegedly wore a “Police K-9” vest and claimed to be working security as a police officer, with the intention of seeing Megan Thee Stallion’s sold-out performance at Discovery Green.

Attorneys said Stevenson is actually a barber in Houston and has no qualifications as any type of officer.

Ultimately, Stevenson was hit with a felony charge of impersonating a public servant. On Monday, per a separate report from KTRK, Stevenson was released after being granted a $20,000 bond by Harris County Judge Danilo Lacayo. In comments to the local outlet, a prosecutor pointed to the popularity of Megan, particularly in the Houston area, while reminding viewers “this is still a felony case.” Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion was reported by Deadline last week to be in discussions about a role in Josh and Benny Safdies’ new film. As previously reported, the highly anticipated Netflix entry sees the filmmaking duo reuniting with Uncut Gems star Adam Sandler, although additional details have been largely kept away from public view.

Over the weekend, Megan made an appearance at the 2023 edition of the CMT Music Awards in Austin, where she presented Shania Twain with the Equal Play award. She also walked the red carpet at the annual event, which holds a unique place in the country music scene due to the fact the ceremony’s awards are all fan-voted.

Although he was wearing a “Police K-9” vest, he reportedly did not have a dog with him, according to attorneys.

On Monday, the judge granted Stevenson, who has no previous record, a $20,000 bond. Court records show Stevenson bonded out after his hearing.

“Megan Thee Stallion is a fantastic draw, big draw, especially here in Houston, but this is still a felony case. You cannot go and impersonate an officer to get into a concert venue,” prosecutor Mathew Jackson told Eyewitness News at Monday’s hearing.

The H-town hottie has slowly been making appearances again at various events, since prevailing in her 2019 shooting case against singer-rapper Tory Lanez. “There’s no place I’d rather be for my first performance of the year than my hometown of Houston,” she expressed in a statement ahead of her performance. “The AT&T Block Party Concert is gonna be such a vibe, and I can’t wait to get back on stage in the city where it all began. I’m looking forward to seeing my Hotties and putting on an unforgettable show for them.”

Meg also teased new music on the way during this year’s Vanity Fair‘s Oscars Party.

“Oh I am, new album. F**k yall ho*s bye,” she declared on the red carpet.
