Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Solly Moholo is not a ZCC member as he got suspended for using the attire with the green star badge before his death.
Gospel king Solly Moholo is facing possible expulsion from the Zion Christian Church (ZCC) after defying bishop Barnabas Lekganyane.
Solly Moholo was a ZCC member before being suspended from the church for using the attire with the green star badge. He then stopped using the green badge and the attire. He then used brown overalls and all stars impersonating the original.
He’s a ZCC at heart
“May his laughter continue to echo the walls of heaven. Let us remember him fondly for the healing music he gave us over the years. At this time, the family would like to request that they be given privacy and time to mourn the passing of Ntate Solly Moholo and prepare for his burial,” they said.
The team said details of his memorial and funeral will be shared in the coming days on his social media pages.
“Please keep the family in your prayers,” they said.
Limpopo Artists Movement (LAM) Provincial Chairperson, Mphoza Mashabela, said Solly’s passing will leave a significant gap in the entertainment industry, particularly in the sione music genre.
“It is with great sadness that we are informing you on behalf of the Molokoane family, that is Solly Moholo’s family, that our beloved legend ‘Solly Moholo’ has sadly passed on.
“Solly Moholo was hospitalised after falling ill following his pre-album launch tour in Botswana,” they said.
