Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Shohei Ohtani is not in the Merriam-Webster Citation library.




At 4 p.m. Morosi introduced that sources had knowledgeable him that the two-way participant was en path to Toronto. Though he tried to warning, writing that CAA wouldn’t touch upon their participant’s potential determination and that the star hadn’t signed an settlement with any workforce, the baseball world was already in uproar.


Earlier on Friday, Dodgers Nation reporter J.P. Hoornstra reported that Ohtani had chosen the Toronto Blue Jays over the other other finalists, including Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels. Hoornstra’s report did not mention the San Francisco Giants, though they were considered a finalist still as recently as Wednesday by others.


Several other MLB reporters refuted Hoornstra’s report, though, saying a decision had not been made yet. MLB insider Jon Morosi reported on Friday afternoon that Ohtani was set to head to Toronto today, though that report was quickly refuted, also.


One specific post on X, formerly known as Twitter, from USA Today columnist Bob Nightengale said Ohtani is still in Southern California made the social media rounds, sparking meme posts from all corners of the internet. Even the Merriam-Webster dictionary account chimed in. According to one report, the person reportedly on a private jet to Toronto was a Canadian businessman, who even got in on the social media fun.
