Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Nigerian man from Jukulyn who paid R40k lobola for his wife using fake money as his elderly mother-in-law.
An elderly woman from Jukulyn,Pretoria in Gauteng has been arrested at Shoprite store for using fake money to buy groceries.
It is alleged that the money is from her Nigerian son in law who has just paid them R95 000 lobola for the bride with fake money.
Police have now arrested four members of the family who were found in possession of the fake money paid for lobola by a Nigerian man known as Kelechi Johnson Adegoke.
The Nigerian son in law paid them with hard cash during the lobola payment.The money rotated amongst family members up until the mother went to buy grocery at Shoprite.
It alleges that the mother didnt believe when she was told that her money was fake.Police were summoned to the store and she was arrested at the scene.
Only about 40 000 rand’s were recoverd from the family members while the rest was alleged spent.
