Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Mark Ruffalo will NOT be in ‘CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD because he misspoke in the interview.

According to Variety, Mark Ruffalo misspoke in his comments regarding a Hulk appearance in Captain America: Brave New World. They report that the actor mistakenly agreed that Brave New World was just one of Marvel’s next films and was not confirming his appearance in it. The original story is as follows.

Mark Ruffalo’s next Marvel project has been confirmed. According to the actor, he’ll be appearing in Captain America: Brave New World, a previously unannounced appearance. Ruffalo made the confirmation during an interview at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

The recent Hollywood Walk of Fame inductee provided an update on Hulk’s MCU status during a sitdown interview hosted at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. During the conversation, Mark Ruffalo reflected on being told by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige that his version of Hulk could have a story arc taking place as a supporting character in the Avengers films, but that he wasn’t deserving of his own solo movie. When asked if that was still the case, Ruffalo suggested that it was, seemingly dashing the rumors and fan hopes that a World War Hulk film, or a similar project, was in the works.

Ruffalo explained, “Yeah. Kevin [Feige] was like, ‘What would you like to do?’ And he said, ‘What would you do if you had a standalone Hulk movie?’ I said, ‘Well, I’d like to take him from this raging maniac to kind of this integrated character.’ And he’s like, ‘Okay. We’ll do that over the course of four movies. We’ll never give you a standalone Hulk… Don’t mean to burst your bubble, but that’s just not going to [happen]… So, we’ll do it over four movies, how does that sound?'”
