Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that CPA Lawyer, Nico Niklaus, has expressed anger towards Starbucks cleaner staff who slammed tables overyNEGATIVE ADJUSTMENT at Starbucks in Okada, on Christmas day.
CPA Lawyer, Nico Niklaus, wrote: “NEGATIVE ADJUSTMENT.
I felt embarassed.
Kuya asked me sarcastically to place the table and chairs back. And when I didn’t, he slammed them back to their original places.

“My family and I celebrated Christmas Day in Okada Manila. We roamed around, took pictures, and ate good food. We were on light, festive moods.
We decided to have our coffees and desserts at Starbucks. People were everywhere. All seats were taken. We waited patiently until some tables cleared. We were 14 people so a long row of tables was necessary.
Then a cleaner staff came. He ignored us and dispersed the tables and chairs to different places.

“Kuya, gagamitin po namin”, I exclaimed.
“Sige, kunin mo, ibalik mo!”, he sarcastically replied.
“Hala, bakit po ako?”, I answered back.
“E di ayan”, he told me while literally slamming back the tables and chairs to their places.

I felt embarassed because people were looking at him and at me. I kept quiet and told myself to let it pass because it was Christmas Day.
We were about to finish our coffees and cakes when a Starbucks Manager (or Team Lead) approached us. She apologized for what happened.
She called the cleaner who also apologized profusely. I asked him why he did it. “Sir,
dami lang po trabaho sa loob kanina” was his response.

“The manager gave me a bag with a slice of cake and a free drink coupon redeemable anywhere in the Philippines to make up for the bad episode.
I wondered how the manager knew what happened when I kept quiet and let it pass.
My sister said she immediately reported the matter. She said she couldn’t be quiet or let it pass because she also belongs to the hospitality industry and what Kuya did was disrepectful.
My sister inherited that bravery and audacity from our parents. She is small but fiesty whenever she knows she was right.

“The manager was surprised to know that I was CPA lawyer in the company of professionals that time. She said that I had the power to make Kuya’s life miserable but I didn’t. I told her that I still believe that there are no bad people, only bad days.
I shook both their hands after the short conversation. Kuya’s hand was very cold. I knew he was nervous. They smiled at us when we went out. And I saw Kuya had a sigh of relief. He was in his mid 50s, I thought.
Yesterday, I redeemed my free drink at Starbucks Edsa Shangrila. I was surprised to see that the receipts stated “negative adjustments.”

I already forgot the bad episode with Starbucks Okada. But I would never forget how the Manager handled the matter professionally and how Kuya was sorry. I hope he learned from it.

A negative episode was adjusted. Maybe, all is well that ends well.
Happy Holidays😊

“Many people have been attacking me for the Negative Adjustment post I have made recently.
Real talk lang, sa mundo merong matataas at malalakas, meron ding mabababa at mahihina.

“Wala naman sigurong mali at masama in being firm with your position in life and straightening those who have wronged you – whether intentional or not.
A bad day is a bad day indeed, but that doesn’t mean you should let someone having a bad day ruin your day as well.
And yes, I could have made his life miserable and I didn’t out of compassion and pity. He could’ve made my stay in Starbucks pleasant as well but he didn.t

I guess we all know na sino sa amin ang nagisip nang tama at hindi.

To those hating me, pag di kayo tumigil I would make your lives miserable. I would not display the same compassion I have shown kuya from Starbucks. Pili kayo ng branch libre ko kayo kape dapat ubusin niyo.
As for Kuya who lost his job, maybe that’s a lesson learned for you. A bad day can reveal a bad attitude that would lead to a bad life. Contact me and I’ll give you your day’s worth of salary. Isarado ko nang 1,000php.”
