GSC has reminded moviegoers to not bring children to movies intended for audiences aged 18 and above.

This follows an incident where a family was forced to leave a screening of the horror film “Evil Dead Rise” halfway, after a child started crying out of fear.

A video detailing the incident had gone viral on TikTok, with some netizens blaming cinema staff for allowing children to enter theatres showing films rated 18+.

GSC said in response to one such comment on social media that parents sometimes sneak their children in.

. “Especially locations yang ramai orang kalau ada few halls masuk orang, dorang pandai sneak in,” the cinema company said.

It has also suggested “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” as an alternative for parents that want to bring their children to the cinemas.
