It’s a sad day today in the house of the Adeboyes as the second son and third child, Pastor Dare Adeboye, passed away in his sleep in the early hours of Thursday. He was only 42 years, but would have been 43 in June.
According to a source who just reached out to our reporters, said that Pastor Dare Adeboye died in Abuja in the early hours of Thursday. The source continued by saying after he had officiated a church program on Sunday, he returned home but spoken well with a few people.
His wife, Temiloluwa Adeboye (who lives in Eket, Akwa-Ibom) called her husband in the early hours of Thursday, but he didn’t take his calls. Out of panic, she informed some RCCG members in Abuja to reach out to her husband.
They did but found out he had died in his room. A few members said they didn’t notice any form of weakness or worrisome spirit in him. The source said that his parents have been in a great shock since they broke the news to them.
“Mrs. Temiloluwa called her husband severally but he didn’t take his calls. Out of fear, she alerted some RCCG members in Abuja to check up on her husband. They did but found him lying lifeless in his bed.
Daddy and Mummy have received the news and it resulted into a huge shock and tears from mummy, Mrs. Folu Adeboye,” the source says.
Dare was a Youth Provincial Pastor in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.
He was also described in 2020 as one of the most influential youth pastors in the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide.
Pastor Dare has held previous positions as the Senior Pastor of RCCG House of Praise Birmingham, the Provincial Youth Pastor of RCCG Kaduna Province 1 and RCCG Kaduna Region 8 Youth Pastor.
