Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has officially endorsed Peter Obi @PeterObi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party @NgLabour, as his preferred choice for the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
In his New Year statement released by his spokesman, Kehinde Akinyemi, Obasanjo referred to Obi as his mentee and stated that he has an advantage in the upcoming election on February 25, 2023.
Obasanjo also emphasized Obi’s character, experience, and understanding, as well as his ability to bring discipline and vitality to the role.
He also highlighted that Obi has connections both in the north and south of Nigeria, and is accompanied by a young and accomplished running mate.
