Former MP, Hon. Awudu Mbaya Cyprian, passed away in Dallas, Texas, after a long battle with illness. Our condolences to his family.
“His Royal Highness, the Fon of Njap, The Royal Family of Njap, and The AWUDU Family in Cameroon, is saddened to inform the national and international communities of the passing unto glory of our Husband, Father, Brother, Grand Father, and Great grandfather Hon. Dr. Ta Nformi Yinkfu Awudu Mbaya Cyprien,” The Fon of Njap, announced in a public statement.
While burial arrangements are being made, the Fon called on, the “Wimbum Community all over the world, the Political Community in Cameroon and abroad, business associates, trading partners and collaborators in Cameroon and abroad, Cameroonians, Africans of good faith and the world at large to keep us in their prayers as we mourn the loss of our dear father.”
Hon. Dr. Ta Nformi Yinkfu Cyprian Mbaya Awudu, on November 19, 2019, backed out of the race for another mandate as MP for Donga Mantung Central covering Nkambe and Ndu Constituencies. He had served three mandates as MP under the SDF.
The General President of the Wimbum Cultural and Development Association, WICUDA, Nforgwei Rogers, said, this is a great loss not only to the family but “the entire Wimbum community that has lost one their fathers.”
The Fon of Chup noted that the passing of the politician “is a big shock to the whole Wimbum community and Cameroon at large.” he described him as a hard worker, “who is not indebted directly or indirectly to him. That’s an example of a man of integrity, a bulldozer that the Wimbum community will ever cry, not to talk of his Warr family.”
