Five Pakistan Army personnel including a Captain were killed in a blast from an IED device during a clearance operation in #Balochistan’s #Kahan area on Sunday, according to the military’s media wing. 




“As a result, Captain Fahad, along with four other brave sons of soil, Lance Naik Imtiaz, Sepoy Asghar, Sepoy Mehran, and Sepoy Shamoon, have embraced martyrdom, laying their lives in defense of the motherland against an externally perpetrated threat of terrorism,.”


As the country fights escalating terrorism, three different explosions struck Balochistan on Sunday, two in Quetta and one in Kohlu district, leaving at least five people dead and 13 others injured.The third explosion happened in the evening when masked gunmen threw a grenade at a police checkpoint in the satellite town of Quetta, injuring three officers who were on duty, according to law enforcement.

Earlier, an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in the Kohlu area claimed the lives of five individuals and injured six others, according to a statement from Balochistan Levies.


Hours before the second strike, a grenade blast across the Shaheed Ameer Dasti police station at Sabzal Road in Quetta left four people injured, including a woman and a little girl, the police said.
