A video is circulating of British boxing rivals, Lawrence Okolie and Richard Riakporhe, getting into a physical altercation last night, at the #Creed3 premiere in Leicester Square, London.

Richard Riakporhe has told talkSPORT that Lawrence Okolie will ‘pay for what he has done’ after their pair were filmed clashing on Wednesday night.

The British cruiserweight rivals both attended the European premiere for CREED III, which took place at Cineworld Leicester Square, and got into an altercation.

Okolie and Riakporhe were filmed trying to get to one another and had to be pulled apart by bystanders.

Riakporhe joined White and Jordan on talkSPORT on Thursday to give his explanation of the viral clip.

“So I was just having a great time, I watched this film CREED, it was an amazing film,” he said. He is set to end his year-long absence from the ring when he faces mandatory challenger David Light in London next month.

Should he get past the New Zealander, a domestic showdown with Riakporhe could await.

Riakporhe moved to 16-0 as a professional after winning his latest bout against former world titlist Krzysztof Glowacki inside four rounds in January.

After that victory, the 33-year-old insisted he is ready to challenge for world honours, hinting at a future clash with Okolie.

The latter cast doubt over those claims, but made it clear that he is ready to fight his fellow Brit whenever he wants to step up.

‘Don’t say my name ’til you actually want to fight,’ Okolie told Riakporhe on Sky Sports.

‘It’s as easy as this. I will fight that man any time. Any time. Then it’s done. You’ve got a world champion who doesn’t need to – Richard’s not my mandatory. But, he’s in my country saying he’s the best? See you soon.’

Okolie is 18-0 (14 KOs) and currently reigns as the WBO cruiserweight world champion.

Riakporhe is 16-0 (12 KOs) and now on the verge of a title shot himself.

There has previously always been plenty of respect between the pair, but this came to an end on Wednesday night.
