Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that FIFA has finally selected three female referees for the first time after 92 years of the tournament. 




The ladies are: Stéphanie Frappart (France), Salima Mukansanga (Rwanda) and Yoshimi Yamashita (Japan). 


They will be referees at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. 

Saddick reports:


“The 2022 Men’s World Cup in Qatar will see female referees for the first time in history. They’re only 3 and one of them is Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanga. 


“She’s also the first female referee to officiate an AFCON match.

She is just 35. Has a degree in Nursing and Midwifery.”

“FIFA has selected female referees for the first time in the men’s World Cup’s 92-year history.


“Stéphanie Frappart (France), Salima Mukansanga (Rwanda) and Yoshimi Yamashita (Japan) will have the chance to officiate during the 2022 tournament in Qatar
