FIFA have BANNED Al-Nassr from registering new players for failing to pay add-ons owed to Leicester City as part of the Ahmed Musa deal.

Al-Nassr were in fact told back in 2021 that they would have to pay the Foxes the money owed after the ruling was officially released.

However, it would seem that they were unable to do so, and as such have been punished with the registration ban promised.

Worse still, the club was warned in the original ruled that it would not be just one window, but three consecutive registration periods, halting the side in their tracks as they continue to try and build a star-studded side.

The club now has until the end of those three consecutive bans to pay the fee, or else they could be referred to FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee.

Club chiefs are however confident that the fee will be paid before it gets to that stage, and have intimated that the oversight came before their recent change in structure after the Public Investment Fund took over.

Musa signed for the Saudi Arabian Pro League side in a €16.50m deal in 2018, shortly after impressing at the World Cup in Russia.

While the Knights of Naja have paid the transfer fee, they are yet to pay the add-ons, despite The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruling.

According to Ben Jacobs, Al-Nassr were ordered to pay the Foxes €460,000 in performance-related add-ons.

However, the Saudi Arabian giants are yet to obey CAS’ ruling, forcing FIFA to ban them from registering new players ahead of the new season.

As anyone on Twitter knows, tweet-based conversations can quickly become messy, making it hard to keep track of actual replies amid pointless GIFs, spam messages, trolling and more. Users can’t delete replies to their tweets, but starting today, they finally have the option of hiding them.

The ruling was originally released in October 2021, with Al-Nassr being warned that they would have a transfer registration ban imposed should they fail to pay Leicester the outstanding amount.

It is now believed that they have failed to comply with the ruling and have had a registration ban imposed upon them.

That applies to both domestic and international transfers, meaning star players from abroad cannot currently be registered.

Musa has had a quite brilliant career but he didn’t have a single goal or assist during the 2022/23 season and started only six games for Sivasspor in Turkey.
