Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Fans spread unconfirmed rumors that Kelly Oubre Jr got beaten by his gay lover after journalist said he lied after he sustained potential injuries during a domestic assault.

Philadelphia police say investigators do not have any video or photographic evidence at this time showing Sixers’ guard Kelly Oubre, Jr. was struck by a vehicle Saturday night in a hit and run.

Taking to social media, a Philly News page, Philly News Update, claimed that Kelly Oubre wasn’t hit by a car, but was involved in a domestic violence.

Philly News Update wrote: “Sources tell us that the Hit and Run story by Oubre was made up to cover for a domestic assault. to be clear, read the tweet very carefully. i never said Kelly committed any crime, never said Kelly committed a battery. Kelly was the only one with injuries reported…

The tweet clearly does not allege that Kelly was the offender in a domestic assault

“Sources told me that Kelly sustained potential injuries during a domestic dispute, which means he could have been the sole victim.”

Surveillance footage recovered so far in the alleged hit-and-run that injured 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. shows no evidence that a crash occurred at the Center City intersection where Oubre reported being hit on Saturday night, police said.

“The Police Department currently does not have any video or photographic evidence that depicts this collision,” Sgt. Eric Gripp, a department spokesperson, said Wednesday. “We continue to work in hopes of gathering evidence and we encourage anyone who has information to reach out to our crash investigation unit.”

Two employees of businesses near the reported crash site told The Inquirer they reviewed roughly two hours of footage from that evening on their work surveillance systems and did not see the crash. They asked to remain anonymous due to the high-profile nature of the case.

Gripp emphasized that police have not accused Oubre of anything and the investigation is ongoing. But the lack of immediate visual evidence confirming the crash on a well-trafficked downtown street raises questions about the information Oubre provided to police.
