FAMILY GUY will now air new episodes on Wednesdays.

Fox’s midseason schedule will remain heavy on unscripted programming, with a pair of new game shows, The Floor and We Are Family, joining returning series Name That Tune, I Can See Your Voice, Next Level Chef — which will premiere following the NFL’s NFC Championship on Jan. 28 — Farmer Wants a Wife and America’s Most Wanted (which last aired in 2021) on the schedule. TMZ Investigates will become a weekly series after having aired as a set of occasional specials in the past.

Two dramas, The Cleaning Lady and Alert: Missing Persons Unit, will make their returns to the schedule on March 5. They’ll currently the only scripted dramas set to air on Fox this season; 911: Lone Star is being held for 2024-25 along with newcomers Doc and Rescue: Hi-Surf, which the network ordered to series in the spring. There’s no word yet on when the second season of courtroom anthology Accused will air.

Good ratings on Adult Swim’s repeats and good DVD sales convinced Fox to bring the show back, though, with Family Guy getting a prestigious time slot near The Simpsons for the next two decades or so. But now, either because Fox hates it and wants it to die again or because the network now has enough confidence in Peter, Lois, Stewie, and the rest of the Family gang to survive on a day without a football or The Simpsons bump, it’s getting dumped on Wednesday.

The new schedule begins on March 6 when the new season of Family Guy premieres (wow, that feels far away), with the Sunday Animation Domination block consisting of The Simpsons, relatively new newcomer Krapopolis, oldcomer Bob’s Burgers, the very underrated Great North, and Jon Hamm-starring newcomer Grimsburg.
