Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Roblox Isn’t adding a Tinder-style dating feature for 18+ users
Post from Dextero: “Only a week after Roblox’s announcement of “mature experiences” for users 17 and up, rumors have surfaced of a Tinder-like online dating function being developed for the platform. The speculative concept of such features coming to the game, however, left players baffled and each had their own opinions on the matter.
“Roblox’s expansive metaverse has captivated the imagination of millions by providing a platform for creativity, social interaction, and entertainment. While the game caters predominantly to a younger audience, it also provides a platform for adult players to connect and interact.”
In July 2023, Roblox unveiled its “Vision for All Ages” campaign, which would grant users 17 and older access to mature content on the platform. Users must go through an age verification process that confirms they are adults on the platform in order to access this content.
These experiences have only been accessible for a week, but already there are rumours that the platform will soon introduce an online dating feature modelled after Tinder, along with possible design leaks. Players are perplexed by this because they weren’t prepared for such a feature on the platform. What they think of it is as follows.
A concept for a future Roblox online dating feature that takes inspiration from Tinder has been floating around on Twitter recently, along with a potential mobile design. Users must be 18 or older to access this feature, the same age group that has access to the platform’s recently added mature experiences.
