“RE: NIGERIAN MAN OPENS MADE IN ABA SHOP IN PORTSMOUTH, UK
“I have been inundated with lots of forwarded messages drawing my attention to a viral post by Correct Bro wherein he stated that I had opened a Made in Aba shop in Portsmouth, UK.
“While the details of our trip to Portsmouth has been extensively x-rayed by different tendencies, it becomes imperative that I clarify the trending story to avoid obfuscation and for record purposes.
“As stated by the blogger, he got the story from my twitter page with over 53,000 Followers and hundreds of thousands of post engagements.
I have attached what I posted. It is self explanatory.
“Again, our mission in the UK was to open a conversation on the trading of#MadeInAba goods and services in the UK. I believe the objective is being achieved.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s mandate to us is take Abia Products global. We are on course. You will hear more.
“Just for emphasis, I do not own a shop in Portsmouth, United Kingdom. We unveiled the #MadeInAba designs we traveled with at Afric Express Store at The Bridge Shopping Centre, 89 Fratton Road, Portsmouth, UK. The shop is owned by Mobughichi ‘Mobu’ Eberendu, an Abian living in Portsmouth who keyed into the dream. Chinenye Nwaogu and Chukwudi Onwudinanti were major facilitators of the project.
“This post has gone viral and the impression is in millions. It is a plus for the #MadeInAba Campaign and it confirms that we have a huge market out there hungry for our products. We will take the positives out of it and continue iterating and evolving.
I thank everyone who has made enquiries. Above is the state of affairs.
Again, for record purposes.
Udo diri unu.”
