Twitter owner Elon Musk is hit with more devastating news as Twitter’s Trust and Safety chief, who is in charge of moderation hateful content, resigns in disgust over Elon Musk’s latest shockingly transphobic move.
The whole thing started when Elon Musk invited his transphobic friend Matt Walsh to host his deeply offensive “What is a Woman” documentary, which is riddled with transphobic attacks and disinformation, on Twitter as part of a new deal that Twitter just signed with far-right “news” organization The Daily Wire.
Then, Twitter Trust and Safety Chief Ella Erwin and her content moderation team examined the video and decided to override Musk and block Walsh from hosting the video on Twitter.
Then, instead of supporting the decision of Twitter’s content moderators, Elon Musk publicly threw them under the bus, declaring that, “This was a mistake by many people at Twitter.”
This caused Trust and Safety chief Ella Irwin to immediately resign, citing Musk’s shocking defense of a hateful, transphobic video.
